Funmi Shonekan is a passionate lawyer, registered nurse and AHA-certified instructor with a vision to empower healthcare professionals across the US, in Sub Saharan Africa and beyond.
As Founder and Owner of Curative Essence Inc., she leverages her background as adjunct faculty and clinical instructor with reputable institutions of higher learning in the DMV metro area as well as clinical affiliation with top-tier Level 1 trauma centers in the region. Funmi deploys her knowledge of hospital operations to drive innovative growth, delivering high-quality training and consulting services.
Certified by American Organization of Nursing Leadership (AONL) under the American Hospital Association (AHA) as a Certified Nurse Manager and Leader, (CNML), Funmi is dedicated to building capacity and improving patient outcomes through innovative and personalized approaches.
She has a passion for drawing out the leader in her clients, optimizing human capital in various clinical groups thereby fostering growth and excellence in healthcare leadership.
